There were about twenty people at the show, some with a plan for the piece they were going to build, others where there just to help out or to make tea. Throughout the day I would invite people over, one at a time, to a small stage. There was a chair to sit on and a radio tuned to a local station. I would ask each person to sing a specific word. I would turn the radio off and ask them to think of a note, walk behind the camera and give them the thumbs up. Each of them sang a word. They were unaware of the words or notes that had come before their own. As time passed there were enough words to build a sentence. When I looped that sentence and repeated it, it became a song.
